Independent Artists

All artists other than James Cooper operate independently from Day One Atelier. By booking, you are engaging their separate businesses directly. Day One Atelier is not responsible for their policies, pricing, or conduct.

Quotes

All quotes are estimates only and may change based on final design, size, placement, and any updated information provided.

Quotes are valid for 14 days.

Deposits

A $100 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per appointment is required within 48 hours to secure your booking.

Deposits are strictly Non-refundable under any circumstances. Can not be transferred to another person, date, or booking outside the reschedule allowance below.

Appointments not secured within 48 hours of invoicing may be rebooked.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

72+ Hours Notice

• One reschedule is permitted per booking with 72+ hours’ notice via email.

• The new date must be booked within 3 months of the original appointment.

• Additional changes require a new deposit.

• Cancelling at any time forfeits the deposit.

Less Than 72 Hours Notice

• Cancellations or reschedules made within 72 hours result in deposit forfeit, regardless of reason including illness.

Less Than 24 Hours Notice

• Cancellations within 24 hours incur a late cancellation fee equal to 50% of the quoted tattoo price.

• This fee must be paid within 48hours of invoicing. No future bookings will be accepted until outstanding balance is paid..

No-Shows

• No-shows are charged the full cost of the booked tattoo.

• Payment must be made within 48hours of invoicing. No further bookings will be accepted until the outstanding balance is paid.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time.

Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show and the above policy will apply.

Design Process

Design drafts are sent via text message on the evening prior to your appointment. Request for early drafts, or multiple design versions will not be accommodated.

Major Design Changes Require 7+ Days Notice

Major changes include(but not limited to):

• changing subject matter

• changing concept or layout

• adding or removing tattoos

• significant size changes

• placement changes that alter layout

• switching styles

• changing references or brief

• full design overhauls

Major changes may require:

• a new quote, and

• rescheduling (deposit remains bound by the reschedule rules)

Within 7 Days of Appointment

Major changes cannot be accommodated.

Requests will result in the appointment being rescheduled and deposit forfeited.

Within 72 Hours of Appointment

Changes within 72 hours that reduce the number of tattoos or reduce the size will not lower the original quote or the balance owing.

The initial quoted amount remains payable in full, as this time has been allocated in the schedule specifically for your booking.

On the Day of Appointment

• No design changes can be made.

• Only final sizing and placement are reviewed.

Any request to alter the design itself on the day will result in:

• cancellation of the session,

• 50% of the original quote becoming payable immediately, and

• a new deposit required to secure a new appointment.

Redraws & Additional Design Work

James provides one design draft based on the booking information submitted. Minor adjustments are included. Request for early drafts, or multiple design versions will not be accommodated.

Requests requiring additional design time are considered redraws (including but not limited to):

• layout changes

• style or reference changes

• adding or removing elements

• redesigns

• subject matter changes

• size changes requiring new proportions

Redraw fees ($50–$150) will be added to your remaining balance and must be paid on the day of your appointment.
